We've decided to live in our new place for the rest of our life because there is no way we're moving again. Worst thing that has ever happened to us. Seriously. We're both dead tired, weird-sleepy, and most of the stuff is not unpacked still! We had all the help in the world, and I still don't ever want to do it again-oh and the fun begins with the utilities changing, address changing, everything changing. NIGHTMARE! Thank you so very much to everyone that helped and offered their help-I have no idea how we would have even attempted it alone...it would have been a sad sight to see. Jamie has finally come out from under our bed and is also quite happy to be in a new place-she says thanks too...pictures will soon follow...

We're Moving!

And we're begging for the help of anyone willing.  I don't want to play this card, but I am a poor, innocent, helpless, defenseless, larger pregnant woman in need of assistance.  So, feel bad for me.  I mean, all those heavy, heavy boxes-I just don't think I can do it all on my own...I swear Jon put me up to this...

Vintage

I'd say I'm looking a bit more pregnant.  A friend of ours needed models for a shoot for her photography class, and there was ice cream, so we showed up.  I thought they turned out so fun.

The Flashlight Game

Is it bad that I already enjoy pestering my child? Jon has a very bright small LED flashlight that was sitting on the counter last night and I had read that babies in the womb are completely able to see light...so I decided to see what would happen if I shined it directly into my belly. She had already been very active all day yesterday, so I figured if there was a day that she would respond, yesterday would be it and she did. She quite swiftly moved to the other side of my belly. So I moved the flashlight over there-so she pushed off and took off to the other side. We continued to play chase for a bit, all the while Jon hollering something about me blinding our child, and then I think I really started to bug her so she with one very powerful kick revved up and kicked the flashlight right off my belly. I figured she had probably had enough, and with all the quick movement, I spent the night with an interesting stomach ache. I don't think my internal organs were meant to be juggled around quite so much or so swiftly...

Epidural

So I'm looking for some input about this. I'm nearly postitive that I am going to get an epidural. However, I wonder if preparing as if I am planning on going natural would also be a good idea. Really, I just want to walk into Labor open minded, because really, I have no idea what it will be like, or how bad it really is going to be. If it's bad at all. Or it could be worse than I ever imagined. Working at a Maternity store has helped and made a lot of this fear worse. Most of the first time moms are scared to death and excited. It's the 3rd and 4th time moms that freak me out. When I ask them if it's a peice of cake by this time, they usually explain that they are just as scared if not more scared than before. It's the look in their eyes that's unsettling. Like statistically they survived the first 3 or 4, but this is going to be the one that kills them. Terrifying. My other concern-if I do all of the preparation (read all the literature, take the classes, etc) to go natural, I am afraid it will be a let down when I decide I want an epidural. Just what I have started reading so far is very brainwashing-that you ARE a let down if you use pain meds. How does one prepare for a marathon that technically they can bail out of, or at least not feel half way through? Because I really feel a need to prep for the marathon...

Easters

We had a very busy Easter weekend.  Jon drove the bus for the first time (woo-hoo!!) and almost took it to a big show out in Hurricane.  Unfortunately, he may have some transmission problems-we'll see, so he decided not to drive it that far.  It is, however, parked downstairs for the first time with tires and an engine and everything.  The bus has never parked itself anywhere, it has only been dragged, towed, or hand-carted to the places it has parked, so this is very exciting!  I am getting bigger, and I bought my first maternity dress for easter.  Perhaps pictures will follow-they haven't happened yet.  Jon actually asked me if I was just being lazy and relaxing my stomach and that's why it is so big.  I explained it was not laziness, but his child causing the stomach swelling...he's still not so sure about that.  Paisley is very, very active and taking on a personality.  If I have anything resting on my belly she makes sure to investigate via pushing and kicking whatever it is and she didn't mind at all that I had a bladder infection, she went right on kicking and pushing on it regardless.  Jon, Alison and I participated in a music number on Sunday.  Sarah Schulz was kind enough to help hold the pages while I played, and we performed a very carefully choreographed dance of play piano, catch pages, turn pages, and not laugh too much in sacrament while up on the stand.  It was funny.  I was so relieved to be playing the song one last time-I'm rusty and it's really hard for me to grasp how bad I've gotten.  Alison and Jon sounded amazing.  They always do.  They received many compliments on the number.  After church we headed over to Jake and Rachel's for Easter ham.  It was good.  And then Jon and I went home and dyed easter eggs.  Well, Jon napped, I dyed easter eggs.  He's very, very, very excited at the idea of this semester being over, and really, I can't wait until it is too.  I miss my well-slept happy husband.  Hope you enjoyed the update, I'm sure there will be more soon...

The first five people to respond to this post will get something from me! My choice. For you. Handmade. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done within a year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.

So I have to tell a story about this picture.  I found it on my friend from high school, Stevie's facebook and I couldn't believe it.  This is Jon and I back before we were even dating and were just starting to get to know each other.  We're both so tan and skinny!  Anyway, she had throw a party for a bunch of our high school friends and invited him because he was in our institute class and I felt bad for the kid because he didn't really know anyone.  I remember he spent a lot of time on the deck cooking hot dogs.  I was still having a hard time getting over the fact that his name was Jon, short for Jonathan and I had already planned on moving back to St George after a short summer in IF so I certainly wasn't looking for a relationship at the time.  But here we are now!  I just can't get over this picture.  The thing he says he remembers most from that night is me pulling away in my dads pick-up, he thought it was a suburban and was a bit confused as to why I was driving it.  I remember his little vw fox....awww.  We were so cute then..

Baby Names...

So...We really like the name Paisley.  But we have some concerns.  How is Paisley going to hold up as an adult name, will she like being named after a pattern that was named after a city in Scotland, is there ways to make fun of "Paisley" that we haven't been able to think of?  This is complicated.  Our backup name is Chloe-which we both also love.  It's an actual name name, etc, but Jon is wondering if everyone recognizes the spelling.  I think most do.  There isn't another way to spell Chloe...we don't know.  So, what do you all think?  Paisley or Chloe?

I AM ALIVE!!

Due to this magic little pill, I AM ALIVE!!  Typically this is a cancer patient anti-nausea, but can I tell you I LOVE IT!!  I feel like myself again.  4 months straight of throwing up everything you eat can really put a damper on life.  And the weather is getting warmer, the sun has come out of the clouds, and I am not a sad depressing soul anymore.  I pretty much stopped blogging there for a bit because it was just too sad.  Last weekend was my birthday.  Unfortunately, because Rachel and I are photographers, we certainly don't take any pictures of ourselves...thank goodness Jessa had her iphone....

We went to Pirate Island Pizza.  It was awesome.  You'll notice I am wearing a sweet bandana, and Jessa let me borrow her eye patch.  It was so fun having her visit...good times.

If I had a million dollars...

If you're having a down day, and you need a pick me up, listen to this song by the bare naked ladies.  I am once again so sick and miserable and editing a bunch of pictures that I have no energy for and this song made me laugh out loud.  I've had a hard time being down lately.  I just want to be my happy normal self.  Motivated, energized and happy but I am perpetually sick and miserable all the time.  It's really hard to find any piece of myself in this tired sick body.  I just can't handle throwing up anymore.  All the energy I have goes into work.  I'm kind of a downer.  Don't listen to me, go listen to the song.  I particularly like the part where they say they won't eat kraft dinner anymore, and then, of course they will, they'll just eat more.  It's true...

We survived! Thank you everyone for all your help. This couldn't have happened without all of you!
