Baby Names...
So...We really like the name Paisley. But we have some concerns. How is Paisley going to hold up as an adult name, will she like being named after a pattern that was named after a city in Scotland, is there ways to make fun of "Paisley" that we haven't been able to think of? This is complicated. Our backup name is Chloe-which we both also love. It's an actual name name, etc, but Jon is wondering if everyone recognizes the spelling. I think most do. There isn't another way to spell Chloe...we don't know. So, what do you all think? Paisley or Chloe?

I say wait and see when she gets here.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations again!
You could do the Midnight Sun thing and name her Chlaisley. Paisloe. Just giving you options.
ReplyDeleteI really like Chloe!!! I can just imagine a child of yours named Chloe...and yes, I think that most people would either know exactly or come close to spelling it the correct way. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI've seen it spelled "Cloe" but I'm pretty sure that's not standard. Maybe Chloe Paisley Davis...? I think that's cute, and that way she can decide which name to use when she's old enough to know the difference!
ReplyDeleteDefinately Cloe. I love Cloe. And that is the only way to spell it. Plus it is a short name to learn how to spell when she is in Kidnergarden. I alway loved haveing a 4 letter name Alex instead of spelling Alexandra. Too difficult. Short and Sweet, and Cloe is still considered an adult name. :) Also, she can always go by her middle name which could be Paisley. I always switched up, from Lexie, to Ali, to Alex.
ReplyDeletePAISLEY is my vote for sure. It's unique no one will make fun. and who do you know named paisley no one so she can't be compared. There you go... THats my vote:) I can't wait to meet her
